About Us

The idea for The Cozy Inheritance came to me during a year of great loneliness. I’d moved away from family and found myself yearning for the smallest connections to my roots. I quickly found comfort surrounding myself in the things that had been passed down to me. I made family recipes to fill my home with the smells of grandma’s house, I hung needlepoints and a kelim passed down to me, I even took up knitting and sewing which after learning as a child I swore I would never do. After a year of chasing memories I made my first quilt as a gift to my little brother who was also away from home in the hopes that it would provide even the smallest amount of comfort. 

We make our quilts with the hope that your loved ones have memories to wrap themselves in during the highs and lows of life. Whether it’s in their first home with their partner, in their kids rooms for bedtime stories, or when you send your babies away to college where they too might get lonely their Cozy Inheritance can bring comfort when you can’t be there.
